D.A.R.I.U.S. Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to fostering justice, sustainability, and holistic community transformation. Rooted in biblical principles, D.A.R.I.U.S. develops programs and initiatives that uplift underserved communities, address social inequities, and empower individuals to become stewards of the environment and champions of intergenerational collaboration. Unity Village Gardens, a flagship initiative of D.A.R.I.U.S., transforms urban spaces into thriving hubs of sustainability and connection. Located in Detroit, Michigan, this project blends eco-friendly practices with community-centered programming, offering gardens, vineyards, outdoor kitchens, and educational workshops.

D.A.R.I.U.S. Inc. is dedicated to creating opportunities for intergenerational and faith-centered connections while fostering righteousness, sustainability, and justice. The organization offers a diverse range of services and programs designed to promote faith, sustainability, and community empowerment, including sustainable agriculture and gardening, intergenerational programming, eco-friendly lodging, community spaces, farm-to-table education, social justice advocacy and education, faith-based community development, environmental sustainability education, intergenerational support programs, youth and family enrichment, housing and community restoration, and biblical literacy and faith formation.

Minister OG DJ Hard

​Darius aka Minister OG DJ Hard, the founder and president of Unity Village Gardens and D.A.R.I.U.S. Inc., has been cultivating his passion for planting since childhood, inspired by a family legacy of over 100 years in farming and agriculture. Gardening has always been more than a hobby for Darius—it is a source of peace, therapy, and connection to creation. With a degree in environmental sustainability and more than two decades of hands-on experience in farming and gardening, Darius launched D.A.R.I.U.S. Inc. (Deliberately Activating Righteousness and United Sustainability) to reconnect communities to the roots of sustainable living. His mission is deeply grounded in faith, drawing from the Genesis narrative of humanity's origins in the garden, and he continues to inspire others to honor creation and plant seeds for future generations.
Kelli Ferguson

Kelli Ferguson is a highly skilled professional with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. She excels in uniting individuals and coordinating projects to ensure timely, budget-conscious completion that surpasses client and community expectations. Through her extensive background in this fast-paced sector, Kelli has honed her expertise in program management, including developing comprehensive plans to achieve target goals, managing contract disputes effectively, and maintaining accurate financial forecasts. As the Director of Project Management of D.A.R.I.U.S. Inc., Kelli will leverage her Bible-based wisdom and project management experience to oversee the development and maintenance of the organization's physical properties. Additionally, she will contribute to strategic planning efforts for community development partnership opportunities.
Rachelle Morgan

Rachelle Morgan is a lifelong learner, Jesus emulator and mother of three. With an eclectic educational background in green building science, urban and regional studies and technical communication, Rachelle has a passion for equitable distribution of resources within any given community. She is passionate about creating spaces for learning outside of the typical classroom environment. She loves the Lord, his son Jesus Christ and the precious holy Spirit. She has had the opportunity to collaborate with many like minded individuals throughout her educational, professional and communal career. The team behind Unity Village is no different and together our mission will help empower and sustain Detroit’s Riverbend Community.
